Direct-to-film (DTF) printing puts full-color, photo-quality designs on almost any garment — with no screens, no per-color charges, and no large minimums. Rocky Mountain Promotional Products & Apparel prints DTF in-house right here in Grand Junction, so your order stays local from artwork to delivery.
Why Order DTF Printing From Us
- In-house capacity. Starting in 2025 we invested in six new DTF presses, giving us the room to handle small custom orders and large bulk runs without long lead times.
- Unlimited colors at no extra cost. Gradients, photographs and fine detail all print in a single pass — a one-color logo and a full-color design cost essentially the same.
- No per-color setup fees. There are no screens to burn, so detailed artwork doesn’t get punished on price.
- Low minimums. Short runs, sample pieces and one-off designs are affordable because there’s no color-based setup to justify.
- Works on any fabric or color. Cotton, polyester, blends and performance wear — and a white ink base keeps colors accurate on black, navy and other dark garments, with no pre-treatment.
- Local and family-run. Your artwork is reviewed here and printed here, by people you can call.
What We Print With DTF
DTF works across nearly everything we decorate. These are the jobs Grand Junction businesses, teams and nonprofits bring us most often.
T-Shirts & Hoodies
Full-color fronts, backs and sleeve prints on tees, hoodies and sweatshirts — soft, flexible, and built to survive the wash.

Corporate & Team Apparel
Staff uniforms, polos, jackets and team wear with a crisp, detailed logo — including small text and multi-color marks that are difficult to screen print cleanly.
Hats & Caps
Full-color transfers on caps and headwear when your logo has more detail than a printed or embroidered cap can carry.
Bags & Totes
Trade-show totes, event bags and everyday carry, printed edge to edge in full color.
DTF or Screen Printing — Which Should You Choose?
Both are excellent; they just win in different situations. Screen printing is usually the lowest cost per piece on large runs of a simple, few-color design. DTF wins when the artwork is detailed or full-color, when the quantity is small, or when you need several different designs in one order.
If you’re not sure, tell us the quantity and send the artwork — we’ll tell you honestly which method gives you the better result and the better price.

Artwork for DTF Printing
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are ideal, but because DTF is a digital process we can also work from high-resolution raster art. If you’re not sure whether your file will print well, send it over — art evaluation is free.
Turnaround & Service Area
We serve Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Clifton, the Redlands and all of Mesa County, plus customers across Colorado and nationwide. Turnaround depends on quantity and what else is on the presses — ask us when you request your quote and we’ll give you a real date, not a guess.
